The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eddie Hammond can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: One could easily see the joy that was within Eddie. Just a few moments around him and it was clear to see he was full of life and held strong compassion for those around him. He would cry with those in pain, bring laughter when the time called, and would fight for those he loved. These are all things for which he will be greatly missed.
It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to Eddie, and hope he will find eternal peace. For all of his family, friends and loved ones, we pray you will find comfort in knowing that this life as we know it is not the end, and in saying this sorrowful goodbye, that it is only a temporary thing for which we must all endure. One great day we will all be reunited in that promised land to spend our forever with all those we love.
A special message from Eddie's sister Ruth Shipley. Through good times and bad, you have always been my brother. I will always love and miss you, and will never forget you bro. Brother, I still have a few things left to do here, and family who still need me, but one day I will be on my way, and we will all be together once again. I love you so much.
