Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Eddie Hammond can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Eddie Joe Hammond

Eddie Joe Hammond-age 53 of Knoxville born april6, 1963 in Knoxville the son of the late, Margaret Mae and Robert Joshua Hammonds and Eddie went to be with his Lord, August 19, 2016 after battling a long illness. Preceded in death by daughter, Makayla; two brothers, Eugene and Jerry Hammond and one sister, Rosa Lee Hammond.

He is survived by fiancée; Deborah Sharp; brothers, Freddie (Georgia), Donnie (Beth) and Robert (Toni) Hammond; sisters, Ann (Ray) Covington, Ruth (Hammond) Shipley, Margaret Sue (Jackie) Fowler; half-sister, Mary Ann Hammond. He has several children and step-children, Lisa Fuller, Phillip Pagett and Josh Ray; step-children include, John (Katie) Casebeer, Joseph (Elizabeth) Casebeer, Jason (Rebecca) Sharp, Marshall Sharp, Christie Sharp, Brandon Sharp. He has several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Eddie had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Eddie will be sadly missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He is with his Lord in Heaven watching down over us all now.

The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville with graveside services to follow at Skaggs Cemetery, Maynardville. Donations may be made to the family. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
