Clifford Boston "Boss"  Liford
Mr. Clifford Boston “Boss” Liford-age 79 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Willow Ridge Center, Maynardville. Clifford was born February 22, 1938 in Lone Mountain the son of the late Tom and Lizzie Liford. He was saved at age 11 at Sugar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Claiborne County. He was a member of Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Lay’s Packing Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lorena Brantley, Vicie Logan and George Liford along with three half-brothers and four half-sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Peggy; children, Glen (Tisa) Liford of Clinton; Joe (Lesley) Liford of Maynardville; Shirley (Shannon) Greene of Sneedville; grandchildren, Jordan (Josh) Collins, Allison Greene, Jonah Greene, Alex Bowman.

Funeral service 11 A.M. Friday, September 8, 2017, Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Terry West, Rev. Eddie Mash, Rev. Brian Liford, Rev. Albert Foust officiating. Interment Monroe Cemetery, Maynardville. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff of Willow Ridge Center for their care and concern. Pallbearers: Larry Henderson, Jonah Greene, Josh Collins, Alex Bowman, Daniel Liford, Dale Widener, Jason Savage, Bryan Martin, Clint Cooke. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
