Brenda L.  Mincey
Brenda L. Mincey-age 60 of Rutledge passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at U. T. Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Brenda earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from Carson Newman University and was a third grade teacher at Maynardville Elementary School. Preceded in death by husband, Dale Mincey, Sr.; parents, Hanford Wyatt and Lora McGuire; brothers, Hanford Wyatt, Jr., Johnny Wyatt.

Survivors: daughters, Lisa Stone and husband, Brian of Talbott; Teresa Mitchell and husband, Michael of Bean Station; sons, Dale Mincey, Jr. and wife, Linda of White Pine; Nathan Mincey and wife, Missy of Blaine. Grandchildren, Alisha Curwick, Corey Perkey, Logan Mitchell, Whitney Mitchell, Hailey Stone, Hannah Stone, Layla Mincey, Zachary Laycock, Brett Mincey,; great-grandchild, Jaxson Cash, Charlie Laycock, Colton Laycock; sisters, Susie and Rick Smith of Talbott; Patricia and Mike Shepherd of Virginia; brother, Oliver and Judy Wyatt of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews. She had a special love for her third grade class and fellow teachers at Maynardville Elementary School.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb officiating with music by Corey Perkey and Mitch Mincey. Interment 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, Rutledge Pike Church Cemetery, Corryton. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 9:45 a.m. Monday. Pallbearers: Michael Mitchell, Brian Stone, Logan Mitchell, Corey Perkey, Duane Roach, Zachary Laycock. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
