Obituary for Marilyn Jean Wright (Cox)

Marilyn Jean (Cox) Wright age 74 of Sharps Chapel, passed away early Thursday morning, October 27, 2016 at her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bertha Cox.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Jack Wright and her daughters, Sonja (David) Saylor of Knoxville, Pamela (Craig) Baker of Knoxville, and Stephanie (Jason) Walker of Sharps Chapel. Grandchildren, Emily and Alison Saylor, Paige, Payton, and Preston Baker, and Jordan and Jace Walker. Sisters, Coba (Dwane) Dykes and Hilda Cox, both of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Friday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp, Elder Toby Dykes officiating with music by Savannah Galyon and Erin Lee. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to Cox Cemetery, Sharps Chapel for interment service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Gordon Dykes officiating. Pallbearers: Jason Walker, David Saylor, Craig Baker, Dwight Dykes, Max Ritter, Rodney Brantley. Honorary Pallbearers: Grandson, Preston Baker, Jordon Walker and Jace Walker. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
