VARNELL, JOSEPH E., age 58 of Corryton, TN was born April 1, 1952, and went home to be with the Lord March 9, 2011. Joe was of Baptist faith. Preceded in death by: parents, Buford and Hazel Varnell; two sisters. Survived by: wife Macy (Muncey) Varnell; brothers, Johnny and Howard Varnell; children, Brittney West, T.J. White, C.C. White; grandchildren, Bricen and Haley West; special cousin, Wilford and Betty Smith; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Joe was an active sportsman, he loved hunting, fishing and racing. We would like to thank all the staff at UT C.V. I.C.U. 2nd floor, his employers at C.S.O. UT Police Department. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 Friday and Saturday, with funeral service 8:00 p.m. Saturday in Cooke Chapel. Reverend John Streval officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m. Sunday Big Barren Cemetery.
