Obituary for Doris Ann Greene Seymour
Doris Greene Seymour-age 80 of Maynardville passed away Thursday evening, January 3, 2019 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. Doris served as the Clerk and Master of Union County Chancery Court for 24 years. Preceded in death by son, Stacy Seymour; daughter, Karen Seymour; parents, Edgar and Mildred Greene; brothers, Clarence Greene and Ray Greene.
Survivors: loving husband of 49 years, Walter Seymour; loving son, Mark Seymour; loving daughter, Maria Seymour, all of Maynardville; grandchildren, Blake Buckner who was like her son; Thomas Seymour and Allen (Adrianna) Seymour; one-great-grandson, Waylon Charles Seymour; sister, Rose Marie Gilbert. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 5-7:30 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2019 with funeral service to follow at 7:30 P.M., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Fred Goodson, Rev. Johnny Beeler officiating with music by Janice Munsey and Beulah Moore. Interment 12 Noon Monday, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Pallbearers: Mark Seymour, Thomas Seymour, Allen Seymour, Blake Buckner, Derek Bowman, Scott Gilbert, Scottie Gilbert, Jason Bailey. Family will be at the home of Tammy Bowman, 1586 Main Street, Maynardville where friends may visit. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
