Obituary for Mitchell Elvis Kitts

Mitchell Elvis Kitts-age 62 of Luttrell passed away suddenly Saturday, September 8, 2018 while away in Florida for work.

Mitchell was a Journeyman painter who took pride in his craft. He was employed by Larry Mitchell Painting Company. Over the years he coached his son’s youth baseball teams in the Knoxville Area. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his boys on the lake.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Rosa Kitts, Brother and sister in law Heral and Lois Kitts, Sisters – Ann Yoder and Joyce Smith. He is survived by his brother Boyd (Beth) Kitts, his sons Chris (Cody) Kitts, Sam (Lisa) Kitts, and Mitch (Whitney) Kitts. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Michael Kitts and Rev. Jason Dyer officiating. Music by Michael and Lila Kitts. Interment 11 A.M. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Washam-Dukes Cemetery, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:00 A.M. Thursday to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Chris Kitts, Sam Kitts, Nick Sims, Mike Smith, Greg Wyatt and Montoro Lucas (Moe). Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
