James E. Grubb, Jr. (Goob)-age 55 of Maynardville passed away on his birthday, July 29, 2018 at the home of Glinda (Granny) and Frank Justus after a battle with cancer. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and an employee of Knox Rail Salvage for several years. Preceded in death by special grandparents, Earl and Nancey Grubb; father, James E. Grubb.

Survivors include brother, Jeffery Grubb; step-mother, Susan Grubb; uncle, Arthur, Leonard and Wayne; aunts, Betty, Glinda and Teresa.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 with funeral service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Daren Ritter, Rev. Joe Dancing Bear officiating. Family and friends will meet by 12:15 p.m. Thursday to proceed to Big Barren Cemetery, Maynardville for interment at 1 p.m. Pallbearers: Friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be accepted at the funeral home. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
