Obituary for Lois Pursiful
Lois Lee Pursiful of Maynardville was called home on Sunday July 22, 2018, with her girls by her side at Shannondale Healthcare Center. She was a member of Miller’s Chapel United Methodist Church and loved the Lord with all her might and had a heart of gold. She loved her daughters, her grand and great grandchildren so very much. Proceeded in death by parents, Alonzo and Mandy Roark, several siblings, granddaughter, Domanique, and sweet friend, Brenda Pursiful.
Survived by daughters Tina (Rutledge) James and Teresa (Tim) Graham. Grandchildren: Stesha Atkins, Lindsey Atkins, Tyler James, and Hannah Graham. Great grandchildren: Preston, Ariana, Jathan, Amani, Madilyn, Harlan, and Andrew. Siblings: Mary Schock, Sarah Harris, Phyllis (Tim) Rower, Diane (Douglas) Petree, Mixie (Eddie) Cates, Jim (Kelly) Roark. Roommate and dear friend, Lou Redd. Special sister in-law and friend, Mary Roark. Father of her children, and longtime love, Sonny Pursiful. She will be greatly missed, but we know she is at peace and is in the arms of Jesus. Mom was shown such grace and love by the staff at Shannondale Healthcare Center and we are so grateful for their care.
The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Miller’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Maynardville with funeral service to follow, led by Reverend Kathy Chesney. Interment 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Skaggs Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:15 P.M. Wednesday. Pallbearers: Rutledge James, Tim Graham, Tyler James, Preston Grant, Chris Muncey and Johnny Edmondson. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
