Obituary for Jessie Lee Presley Cole

Jessie Lee Presley Cole-age 80 of Knoxville, formerly of Sharps Chapel, born February 19, 1938 passed away peacefully Friday, March 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of Taylor’s Grove Baptist Church. Jessie was a wonderful cook and seamstress and enjoyed square dancing, but most of all, she was a jokester. Preceded in death by, husband, Harold Cole; grandson, Anthony Brent Leabow; parents, William and Eliza Presley; brothers, June, David, Charles and Lowell Presley; sister, Wilma Jean Presley; niece, Ruth Presley; Dixie Bunker; nephew, Alan Sweet; great-nephew, Jeremy Camper.

Survivors: daughter; Sandy Cole of Maynardville, Tammy Scroggins-Haynes and husband, Charles (Cobby) Haynes of Knoxville; granddaughter, Nicki (Andrew) Roach; grandsons, Scottie (Stephanie) Leabow, Dustin Scroggins and girlfriend, Michelle Crespo; Cody Scroggins, step-granddaughter, Colby Haynes; special great-granddaughter, Jessica Leabow; great-granddaughter due in June, Sophie Rose Roach; step-great-grandson, Skylar Holder. Sisters, Lois Presley of Sharps Chapel; Thelma (Byron) Peek of Michigan; Trish (Steve) Rouse of Sharps Chapel; Virgie Bunker of Texas; brother, Harold Presley of Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Special friends: Tracy, Mike, Kenny, John, Rosalee and Kay Chesney.

The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Monday, April 2, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Randy Jones with music by Hank Sweet. Interment 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Cox Cemetery, New Tazewell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 12 Noon Tuesday to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Scottie Leabow, Dustin Scroggins, Cody Scroggins, Andrew Roach, Earl Presley, Kevin Winstead. The family would like to especially thank Avalon Hospice and staff for all their help and kindness. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
