Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jessie Wood can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jessie Ruth (Ferguson)  Wood
Jessie Ruth (Ferguson) Wood age 91 of Luttrell, TN passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving children after a lengthy illness. She was the only child of Harmon and Ada (Underwood) Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Rev. J B Wood, long-time member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Jessie Ruth was the pianist for 30 plus years.

She is survived by her Children: Donna Dukes, Geneva (Jess) Walker, Debbie (John) Campbell, Jeff (LeAnn) Wood, Shorty (Charlene) Wood, Roger Wood and Betsy (Sam) Thomas. 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren, Sisters-in-Law: Betty Wood and Mary Lou Wood. She was especially proud of all her Children and Grandchildren who lovingly cared for her during her illness. The family would like to express a special thank you to our “Heaven Sent” Angels: Angie Wilkerson and Pat Nicely for the loving care they provided for our Mother. Also, a special thank you to UT Hospice for all of their care and support.
The family will receive friends 5- 8 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 8 PM Cooke -Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Doug Muncey and Rev. Leonard Goin officiating with music by Richard and Linda Nicely.

Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary to go in procession to Archer and Peters Cemetery on Ridgecrest Rd, Luttrell for 11 AM graveside service.
