Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Johnny Janeway can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Johnny Ray  Janeway
Johnny Ray Janeway-age 63 of Knoxville took his Heavenly flight on Father’s Day, June 18, 2017 at his home. He was a member of American Baptist Church. Johnny was a retired employee of the University of Tennessee Athletic Department with 41 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Frances (Nelson) Janeway.

Survivors: Loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Munsey Janeway; daughter and caregiver, Angel Hutchinson; daughter, Katie; son, Joey Janeway; grandchildren, Cierra, Breanna and Johnny Hutchinson, Megan and Noah Janeway; sister, Judy McGill and husband, Charlie; aunt, Leslie Roberts; sisters-in-law, Pam and Debbie. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jamie Webber, Rev. Charlie McGill officiating. Interment 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017, Boruff Cemetery, Washburn.

Pallbearers: Joey Janeway, Noah Janeway, Aaron Isbel, William Mitchell, Jamie Rogers, Donnie Nicley, Tyler Munsey, Johnny Hutchinson, II; Honorary Pallbearers: Pat Isbel, Wesley Suffridge, Jason Lyles, Jason Roulette, Jimmy Munsey, Travis Wilson, Antoine Davis, Bob Key, Mike Bullen, Johnny Hutchinson, Charlie McGill, Jr. and Employees of the University of Tennessee Athletic Department.
