Thomas Allen (Tommy) Gibson-age 51 of New Tazewell passed away Tuesday morning, June 6, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by father, Richard Gibson; grandparents, Leonard and Pearl Cooper; step-daughter, Brittany Nicole Southerland.

Survivors: wife, Cheryl Gibson; son, Allen Ray Gibson; daughter, Pearl Jean Gibson; two grandchildren, Faith and Layla Gibson; mother and step-father, Jean and Billy R. Bentley; sister, Iva Sweet, all of New Tazewell; two nephews, Gary Lee Taylor of North Carolina; Billy Joe Forrester of Bristol, Tennessee, great-nieces, Alisha Shay, Linda Marie; great-nephews. Zachary and Billy Joe. Special friend, Darlene Myers. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives along with a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Saturday, June 10, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 7 P.M. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Preacher Steve Rogers, Pastor Don Adam officiating. Interment 2 P.M. Sunday, June 11, 2017, Burch Cemetery, New Tazewell. Pallbearers: Jim Majors, Johnny Cooper, Kenny Snipes, Michael Bentley, Adam Bentley, Eddie Stephens. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
