Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Pearl Atkins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Pearl Inez Atkins (Wyrick)

Pearl Wyrick Atkins-age 75 of Luttrell passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, Steve Atkins; parents, Easter Calday and Frances (Pierce) Wyrick; sisters, Sally Corum, Carolyn Kitts, Hester Atkins; brothers, Fred, O. G. and Theodore Wyrick.

Survivors: Husband, Jimmy Atkins of Luttrell; son, Will Atkins and wife, Linda of Maynardville; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Norris and husband, Donnie of Maynardville; brother, Carl Wyrick and wife, Penny of Corryton. Several nieces and nephews. Pearl had been a resident at Willow Ridge for the past 11 years and loved all the staff and residents.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Leonard Goin officiating with music by Stewart Wyrick. Interment 11 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Sharp Cemetery, Highway 370, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. Pallbearers: nephews. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
