Lillie Mae  Lay (Shelton)
Lillie Mae Lay-age 85 of Washburn, born March 23, 1931 passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her home. She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Loy and Orpha Shelton; sister, Ruth Clay.

Survivors: Husband of 67 years, Bill Lay; son, Gary Lay; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Rev. Jerry Savage; grandson and wife, David and Jennifer Savage; great-granddaughter, Allison Savage, all of Washburn; sisters, Evon Shelton; Orena Clay; Nancy Hopson and husband, Howard; Sue Frye and husband, David; Judy Standifer and husband, Howard; brothers, Frank Shelton and Joe Shelton along with a host nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gary Donehew, Rev. Bobby Lay officiating with music by The Epperson Family. Interment 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017, Needham Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 1 p.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers: David Savage, Jeff Hopson, Tommy Clay, Eric Beeler, Larry Lay and Gerald Lay. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
