OAKS, RUBY LAUGHERTY, age 88, of Maynardville, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Donna Brown., where she made her home for the past couple of years. Preceded in death by husband Sam Oaks,; parents, Thomas and Bertha Laugherty; brother A. C. Laugherty, daughter Patricia died at birth. Survived by daughters: Donna Brown, Judy (Ray) Williams, Geraldine Williams, Sandra (Harvey) Wolfenbarger. All of Maynardville. Brother Bill Laugherty (Viola), Robbinsville, NC. Nine Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great, great, grandson. Pallbearers will be grandsons. For the last several years Ruby met at Woodrow and Ruth Franklins for Sunday morning fellowship meetings. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 with funeral to follow at 7:00 in Cooke Chapel.
