Betty Jean Cross Rutherford-age 76 of Luttrell passed away peacefully 5 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home with her husband, Jim by her side. She was a member of Hudson Grove Church of God. Preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Edith McBee; brother, Sonny McBee and wife, Edna; sister, Carolyn Gibson.

Survivors: Husband, Jim Rutherford of Luttrell; son, Brian Cross; daughter, Edye Rutherford; stepsons, William and Albert Rutherford; step-daughter, Tereasa Rutherford; grandchildren, Brittaney, Alex and Evan Cross, Alexander Rutherford. Brother, Paris McBee and wife, Helen of Corryton; sister, Louise Phillips of Kokomo, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Steve Pratt, Rev. Danny Oliver officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers: Brothers of the church: Justin Dunham, Rick Dunham, Bobby Harrington, Dylan Hughes, Allen Lester, Ethan Duke. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
