Melinda Dove Shook-age 43 of Dandridge, born February 14, 1975 went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 5, 2018 after a long illness at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was saved at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Knoxville. Preceded in death by father, William Johnson; sister, Shannon Johnson; brother, Robbie Johnson.

She leaves behind her mother, Dottie Johnson; a loving fiancée, Terry Young; sons, William Shook, Jerry Johnson; daughters, Nicole Young and Clarissa Shook. Brothers, Larry Johnson and Nick Johnson. Five Grandchildren along with other family members and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Dewayne Fortner, Rev. Robert Sartin officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Tuesday, Red Hill Cemetery, Powell Valley area of Claiborne County. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers: family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for funeral expenses at the funeral home. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
