Obituary for Leo Oszust

Leo Oszust, known as “JaJa”-age 95 of Maynardville, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in New Tazewell since moving to Tennessee in 1992. Leo was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was the recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his; wife, Lorraine Oszust.

He is survived by his; daughters, Leeona Oszust of Knoxville and Lucinda Hopper of Maynardville, his grandchildren, Shannon-Kay Fryer and husband, Todd, U.S. Air Force Major Joshua Hubbell and wife Nicole, Stevie Shea and husband Shawn, and Kallie Hopper along with significant other, Jeff Frank. Great grandchildren; Noah and Colton Fryer, Vandah Lee Shea, Abigail, Brayden, Carter and Claire Hubbell, his brother; Martin Oszust of Indiana and sister; Jenny Frasle of Saginaw, Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other friends.

The family will receive friends 10-11 A.M. Saturday, January 27, 2018 with Celebration of Life Service following at 11 A.M. Saturdy at Christ The King Catholic Church in New Tazewell, Father Ray Powell officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Michigan. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
