Obituary for Rick Lee Fox

Rick Lee Fox-age 66, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on December 30, 2017 at Hospice of Chattanooga after suffering many years from the complications of cardiovascular disease. He was born September 23, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Fulton High School and the Tennessee Institute of Electronics in Knoxville, TN. He was baptized at Edgemoor Baptist Church in Clinton, TN and is currently a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. He retired from the Mueller Company in Chattanooga, and was dedicated to his beloved family and friends.

Rick loved his family and was always the comedian. He especially enjoyed working on his small farm, hunting, camping, and teaching his grandchildren how to cook. In his earlier years, he coached little league baseball in Claxton and served on the board of the Claxton Optimist Club. He never met a stranger and was always involved in community events and volunteered with the Cleveland Civitan Club as much as possible, especially during the annual Special Olympics in Bradley County TN when his health allowed. He served on the board of the Mill Run Homeowners Association for several years. As his health waned, he became close to his expanded healthcare team and laughingly called his many visits his “field trips”.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Earl and Gladys Easter Fox, grandparents Bradley and Ina Easter and Henry M. and Vayle Fox.

Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Veronica Cook Fox; son and wife David E. and Tiffany Fox of Jeffersonville, Indiana; daughter Gena L.
