Obituary for Janet Marlene Fraley

Janet Marlene Fraley
Janet Marlene Fraley, age 67 of Maynardville, Tennessee and Paintsville, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 11th at her home in Maynardville. She left this world surrounded with her loved ones singing her into the arms of the Lord. She was born on January 13, 1950 in Paintsville, KY to the late Delmar and Gladia Fraley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Bud Fraley, Bill Fraley, Dean Fraley, David Fraley and her sisters Barb Maupin and Ann Treague.

She leaves behind her son, Michael Boyd and wife Nichole of Summerville, SC; her daughter, Jessica Cooke and husband Matthew of Maynardville, TN. As well as her grandchildren Ethan Boyd, Courtney Boyd both of Charleston, SC and Christopher Rodriguez of Augusta, GA; Nathanael Cooke, Audrey Cooke, Madison Cooke, and Ava Cooke all of Maynardville, TN. Her siblings Carlos and Marge Fraley of Columbus, OH; Rose and George Davis of Columbus, OH; Larry and Stacy Fraley of St. Petersburg, FL; Ron and Sharon Fraley of Swartz Creek, MI; Marsha and Gerald Meek of Thelma, KY. And numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and treated as her own. A community full of children she had made her own. She loved deeply, gave liberally, and praised God consistently through pain and personal tragedy. She was a steady example of faith, and a zany woman who was a joy to be around. She will be missed. We are so glad that it is goodbye for now not goodbye forever because of what Christ has done. Prayers for her family and friends are appreciated.

Friends may visit the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church on Thursday December 14 from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Friday December 15. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Friday at the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church with Harry Frisby and Matthew Cooke officiating. Burial will follow at the Fraley Family Cemetery in Paintsville. Arrangements by Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, Kentucky. Local arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
