Obituary for Billy Joe Vandergriff

Billy J. Vandergriff-age 82 of Maynardville, born March 24, 1935 in Union County, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Willow Ridge in Maynardville. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by parents, Hassie and Allie Vandergriff; sister, Wanda Yardley; brother, Ken Vandergriff.

Survived by wife of 36 years, Cindy Vandergriff; son, Jerry and daughter-in-law, Amanda Vandergriff; daughter, Anna and son-in-law, David Harrell; grandchildren, Taylor, Tylor, Chloe, Noah and Bradley. Sisters, Ann McCoy; Phyllis Mitchell and husband, Winfred; Ruby Gray and husband, Larry; brother, Bob Vandergriff and wife, Doris; sister-in-law, Wanda Vandergriff.

His request was to be cremated. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made at the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
