Obituary for Darrell Gene Brantley

Darrell Gene Brantley-age 56 of Sharps Chapel born January 29, 1961 went home to be with our Lord Friday, November 24, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Darrell was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Chuck Swan for many years. Preceded in death by twins, Jessica and Jessie Brantley; parents, Roy and Willie Mae Brantley; brothers, Troy, Willis, David, Charlie and Arnold Brantley, all of Sharps Chapel.

Survivors: children, Junior and Anna Brantley, Joe and Michelle Brantley, Cindy Brantley; grandchildren, Brandon and Beth Leach, Makayla, Emily, Ely and Haley Brantley, Melvin, Andrew and Maelee Walters; great-grandchildren, Casey Leach and Easton Brantley. Brother, Norman Brantley and wife, Glenda; Sister, Lisa Gilbert. Special friend, Patricia Roberts. Several nieces and nephews.
Darrell was the most kind and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tim Sharp, Rev. Ricky Brantley officiating with music by Chestnut Grove Church Singers. Interment 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Brantley Family Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 2 p.m. to go in the funeral procession. Pallbearers: Rick Smith, Brandon Dillman, Caleb Dyer, Gary Brantley, Terry Lane, Benny Lane; Honorary Pallbearers: Ely Brantley, Melvin Walters, Andrew Walters.
