Edna Inez  Capps (Thomas)
Edna Inez (Thomas) Capps-age 84 of Halls went with her Lord and Savior to her Heavenly Home Friday, June 30, 2017. She was the 5th of six children born to Paris and Reva (Rosenbalm) Thomas, born on November 15, 1932. She loved her Lord, Jesus Christ and her family with all her heart and soul. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Cecil E. Capps; brothers and their wives, Vick and Elsie Thomas, Ray and Lorene Thomas; sisters and their husbands, Vera and Paris Walker, Ora Bell and Dot Haynes.

Left to mourn her absence are her daughter, Teresa (Capps) Smith; son, Cecil E. Capps, Jr.; four precious grandchildren, Donny (Kim) Smith, Jessica Smith Patterson, Ashlyn Capps and fiancé, Van Caldwell, Thomas (India) Capps; six great-grandchildren, Katie, David and Sophie Patterson, Haley and Tristen Smith and newborn, Kenneth James Capps who entered this world shortly after her passing; one step-granddaughter, Bailee Hatmaker. She is also survived by one sister and her husband, Ruth and Leonard Nicely. Many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley. Interment 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Boruff Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet by 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in the procession. Pallbearers: Donny Smith, Tristen Smith, David Patterson, Thomas Capps, Edwin Capps, Van Caldwell. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
