Lorene Thomas-age 88 of Maynardville passed away Sunday morning, April 9, 2017 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was a member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church and the Blazing Star Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband, James Ray Thomas; parents, James Hugh and Mary Leach; twin-sister, Aileen Booker; sister, Betty Clarkson; brother, Ralph Leach.

Survivors: sons, James Roy Thomas and wife, Thelma of Powell; Johnny Ray Thomas and wife, Pat of Maynardville; Steve Thomas and wife, Kathy of Knoxville; daughter, Debbie Pacheco and husband, Tom of Oak Ridge. Six grandchildren, Tammy, Russ, Lori, Chris, Joy and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren, Melanie, Mixon, Amanda, Heather, Rylee, Layla, Castle and a new one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren, Bella and Audrey. Brothers, Wade Leach and wife, Nancy; H. E. Leach and wife, Chris; sister, Sarah Ridenour, all of Halls. Several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Parkview Assisted Living and the staff of Westmoreland Rehab.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Johnny Smith, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating with music by Linda Nicley and Justin Smith. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession. Pallbearers: Russ Thomas, Chris Thomas, Jimmy Manis, Tom Pacheco, Jerry Bennett, Joey Marlow. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
