Obituary for Berthalene Russell (Irvin)

Berthalene Irvin Russell-age 78 of Maynardville, born March 1, 1938 in Ages, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home from complications of A.L.S. She was of the Holiness faith and an inspiration to all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, George Washington Irvin and Edna Crider Irvin; brother, George Washington Irvin, Jr.; her husband, Vernon Ivan (J. R.) Russell.
Survived by her four beloved daughters, Tami (Bill) Ellis; Lisa Martin; Lucy (Curt) Freyer and Carla (Kevin) Mifford. Six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Several other family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 with funeral services to follow 7 p.m. Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. James Russell, Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 14 2016 to go in procession to Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville for interment at 2 p.m. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
