Anna Mable (Evans) Gray-age 85 of Halls, known to many as “Mossie”, died peacefully 4:07 A.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at U. T. Medical Center. She was born July 24, 1930 in Kokomo, Indiana and was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, Maynardville. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a stay at home mom, loved to cook and babysat for many over the years. She is preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Rev. Horace “Pappy” Gray; parents, Walter Dewey and Reva (Buckner) Evans; sister, “Little Pete”.

Survived by their six children and spouses, Betty and Mike Mize, Bill and Gail Gray, Bob and Diane Gray, all of Maynardville; Barbara and Phil Proffitt, Benny and Pam Gray, Brenda and Scott Moyers, all of Halls; 12 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson due this month. Several close cousins along with many other family members and friends. Our family would like to thank all the physicians, mid-levels and staff of U. T. E.R, NCC, TSICU and 7th south for all the love, support and care they showed our mom and family.

The family will receive friends 4-7 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 with funeral services to follow at 7 P.M. Tuesday, Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Dr. Jack Parrott, Rev. Brian Gray, Dr. Allen Price officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 11 A.M. Wednesday to go in procession to Butcher Cemetery, Maynardville for interment service at 12 P.M. with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
