Obituary for Ella Faye Keller Hicks (Sharp)

Ella Faye (Sharp) Keller Hicks-age 78 of Corryton went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church.
As a family we are honored to say a few words about Ella Faye Sharp Hicks. She was a cheerful, fun-loving lady who was full of life. Her smile could light up a room and it was infectious. She made everyone around her happy. Whether it was a funny joke, her positive attitude or her big smile, she was a delight to be around. As children, we can all remember her taking all her nieces and nephews to church in her 1967 Ford pick-up and stopping at the store to get us peanuts and Pepsi and of course, bazooka chewing gum. She was a kid at heart, loved children and taught us so much. As we got older, she always made an effort to stay involved in her families’ lives. She loved seeing people come to her home to visit. She loved teaching everyone about Jesus and loved it when people would come to sing to her. She of course made the best apple flitters in the world.
When she fell and broke her hip, it devastated the whole family because we knew that her recovery would be very difficult. She stayed positive and never acted down. The best part is we got to spend a lot of time looking after her, as her disease got worse. We were all happy to do whatever we could, because no matter how much we helped her, we felt like it was nothing compared to everything she did for all of us over the years. We will miss her smile and positive attitude. She was an incredible wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She will be missed by a lot of people.
